Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi N’Tichka – Skoura – Boumalne Dades
Start your journey in Marrakech, heading southeast towards the High Atlas Mountains. Ascend through the scenic Tizi N’Tichka pass, which is the highest road pass in Morocco, offering stunning views of the rugged mountain landscapes and traditional Berber villages clinging to the hillsides. As you descend from the pass, make a stop in Skoura, a beautiful palm grove known for its ancient kasbahs, particularly the Kasbah Amridil. After exploring the oasis and its historic fortifications, continue your journey through the Valley of Roses, famous for its fragrant rose fields, especially during the blooming season. Finally, arrive in Boumalne Dades, where the dramatic Dades Gorge awaits, offering breathtaking views of the red rock formations and winding roads. This route provides a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and adventure.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Toudra Gorges – Erfoud – MeRzouga
After breakfast, we will head to explore Dades gorge from its plunging depths to dizzying heights, then we continue on the road through Dades Valley and you can see the panoramic views of the old mud Berber villages overlooking the green valley. Arriving at Todra Gorges, the Todra River has shaped these massive stone walls for thousands of years, take a short walk in the gorges and enjoy the breathtaking views of the river. We will have lunch along the way.
After arriving at Merzouga, you will meet the camels’ driver and head to the desert on top of your friendly camel while the sun sinks below the horizon. Just before dark, you will reach the desert camp, where you will be welcomed with a glass of mint-green tea, you can climb the high dunes and watching the sunset, a traditional dinner is served, you can dance around the campfire to the beat of the desert drums.
Day 3: Merzouga camel trek night in the camp
On Day 3, embark on a fascinating tour of Merzouga Village, a gateway to the vast Sahara Desert. Begin your day by exploring the traditional Berber culture, visiting local Nomad, and experiencing the warmth of Berber hospitality. Take a stroll through the palm groves and oasis, where you can witness the serene beauty of the desert landscape. In the afternoon, visit the nearby village of Khamlia, renowned for its Gnawa music, and enjoy a live performance by the local musicians. Your Journey Wll End in the Hotel with Swiming Pool.
Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani- Tazarine – Agdz – Ouarzazate
Your journey begins in Merzouga, where you’ll depart for Rissani, a historic town known for its vibrant souks and rich heritage. After exploring Rissani, you’ll continue through the scenic landscapes of Tazarine, a charming Berber village surrounded by palm groves and desert. As you drive towards Agdz, you’ll be treated to stunning views of the Draa Valley, with its lush oasis and ancient kasbahs. The day concludes in Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Gateway to the Sahara,” where you can explore the famous film studios and the impressive Taourirt Kasbah, a perfect end to a day filled with the captivating beauty of southern Morocco.
Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Telouet – Marrakech
On Day 5, your journey begins in Ouarzazate, where you’ll explore the cinematic landscapes and historical sites that have earned the city its nickname, the “Gateway to the Sahara.” From there, you’ll head towards the ancient fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its stunning kasbahs and its appearance in numerous films. After taking in the breathtaking views and exploring the intricate alleyways of Ait Ben Haddou, you’ll continue your journey to Telouet, a hidden gem nestled in the High Atlas Mountains. Here, you’ll visit the Kasbah of Telouet, once the seat of the powerful Glaoui family, and marvel at its ornate architecture and rich history. Finally, you’ll descend through the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass, taking in the spectacular mountain scenery, before arriving in Marrakech, where your tour concludes.
