This 10-day Morocco Grand Tour takes you on an unforgettable journey through some of the country’s most iconic cities and landscapes. Then, travel through the Middle Atlas to Merzouga, where you’ll ride camels into the desert and experience a magical sunset and night under the stars in a Berber camp. The tour continues through the breathtaking Dades Gorges, Toudra Gorges, and the Draa Valley, with visits to ancient kasbahs and the famous Ait Benhaddou. In Zagora and Mhamid, you’ll explore the desert and visit historical sites like the old Quran library in Tamegroute. After experiencing the vastness of Erg Chigaga, you’ll head to Ouarzazate and Marrakech, where you’ll visit film studios, historical kasbahs, and the vibrant Jemaa El-Fna square. Day 1: Arrival in Fes and transfer to the Riad/Hotel
Welcome to Morocco! We will meet at the Airport of Fes and transfer to the Riad/Hotel.
Day 2: Fes (visit)
We’ll spend the whole day enjoying the impressive city of Fez with its huge Medina Fes El-Bali & Fes El-Jedid. In the morning departure in 4×4 to explore Fes, we will driver to The Royal Palace, and we move to Panorama of Fes and the Pottery, Bab Boujeloud and, Chouara Tannery. Afterward, do some bargains in the souk, and enjoy the beautifully decorated fountains of the imperial city, Fez is the oldest and most famous imperial city in Morocco. You will explore the Jewish quarter, the 15th-century citadel with all its Moorish maze architecture and medieval glory. Visits to Sephardic synagogues and mausoleums of holy Rabbis will be the highlights of this part of town. Then will have lunch in the Medina and visit the various souks where you can buy a bit ‘ of everything: live animals, flowers, handicrafts, textiles, leather accessories, and spices.. Overnight at your Riad/Hotel.
Day 3: Fes – Ifran – Midelt – Aziz Gorges – Merzouga
After breakfast, wi will head to Ifran which is known as a beautiful alpine area in the Middle Atlas. On the way we will stop in Cedar forests and Azrou to see the monkeys. Then we will head to Midelt throughout Morocco for its apple. Stop for lunch break. Afterward we go drive to the magnificent Ziz Gorges, carved with volcanic rocks, we continue our drive and enjoy panoramic view along way down to Merzouga. After arriving, you will meet the camels’ driver and head to the desert on top of your friendly camel while the sun sinks below the horizon. Just before dark, you will reach the desert camp, where you will be welcomed with a glass of mint-green tea, you can climb the high dunes and watching the sunset, a traditional dinner is served, you can dance around the campfire to the beat of the desert drums.
Day 4: Merzouga – Erfoud – Tinejdad – Toudra Gorges – Boumalne Dades
After breakfast, and experience the sunrise above the sand dunes, return to Merzouga village and depart towards Dades Gorges. We‘ll have the opportunity to look a look at some of the excavations outside the city along the way to Tinejdad. Take a break for lunch. In the afternoon we will drive directly to Todra Gorges to enjoy this wonderful famous Gorges we have in the south of Morocco. Later, we drive to Boumalne Dades for watching special rock formations which look like monkey hands. Overnight at you Riad/Hotel in Dades.
Day 5: Boumalne Dades – Tizi n’Tazazert – Nkob – Beni Zoli – Zagora
Morning departure in 4×4 to Jbel Saghro, certainly one of the most beautiful and most surprising of Morocco, in an environment of ancient volcanoes, large valleys in a mineral landscape. After crossing the Tizi n’Tazazert pass, you can have a lunch break in the middle landscape that looks like it is mistaken for Monument Valley. We continue to Nkob to take the track that runs along the Oued in the magnificent palm grove of the Draa Valley, crossing very ancient kasbahs. Overnight at your Riad/Hotel in Zagora.
Day 6: Zagora – Tamegroute – Mhamid – Erg Chigaga
After breakfast, we’ll have enough time to visit the surroundings of Zagora city and we’ll have a look at the Jewish quarter in Amzerou and the huge palm groves Afterwards, we continue our trip towards the desert to Mhamid. We will stop at the pottery and old Kasbah in Tamegroute before arriving the end of the Draa valley there, we are able to visit an old Coran library and we take a break to watch the library, and historical books.
Afterward, we continue directly to the Erg Chigaga and, complete our trip to Mhamid is the end of the Draa Valley. You’ll have Lunch in ( Mhamid). Before sunset, you will Hop on a camel and walk at the desert pace along the dunes. At night the traditional dinner is served, then you can hit the desert drums and dance about the fire and watching the stars and spending a night in your Berber tent.
Day 7: Erg Chigaga – Lake Iriqui – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Ouarzazate
In the early morning you can see the sunrise amid the sand dunes before enjoy typical breakfast in desert camp. Afterward we will continue our trip to the village of Foum Zguid, crossing the old Paris-Dakar road and cross the Iriqui lake, while you can enjoy the desert scenery and watching the mountains you can also discover some of the desert animals such as snakes, deer and other wild animals living in the desert, The food will be in the village of Taznakht. Later, we’ll head to Ouarzazate, you will have the opportunity to visit Kasbah Taourirt. Overnight at your Riad/Hotel.
Day 8: Ouarzazate – Cinema Studio Atlas – Kasbah Ait Benhaddou – Telouet – Marrakech
Morning, departure in 4×4 to visit Cinema Studio Atlas. Then to kasbah Ait Benhaddou which is recognized by UNESCO as a world patrimony for having been a setting for many films such as The Mummy and Gladiator. Lawrence of Arabia, Black Hawk Down. We will resume the direct trip to Kasbah Telouet, sometimes also called Glaoui palace, is a kasbah built in the XVIIIe and XIXe centuries, located in the small Berber village of Telouet. The food will be in the village of Telouet. Overnight at your Riad/Hotel in Marrakech.
Day 9: Marrakech (visit)
Morning at 9:30am you will start your tour with a local guide for visiting the places you have not seen before in Marrakech, including the visit of the Saadian tombs; the beautiful Palace of Bahia and the Ben Youssef Coranic School. You can also walk freely in the alleys of the Medina and getting a chance to admire all of the different artisans performing their crafts before arriving at the famous Jemaa El-Fna Square, here the various tribes come to sell their wares , traders Berbers bring their produce, the music of snake charmers echoes in the air, women who want to draw your hands with Henna, monkeys to photograph. Afterward we hop on our 4×4 to visit Gueliz and Majorelle Garden. Overnight in your Riad/Hotel.
Day 10: Marrakech – Airport
Today, we pick you up from you Riad/Hotel and, drive you to the Airport.
