Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil (Atlas)
Your private 4×4 vehicle, accompanied by an English-speaking driver, will take you on an unforgettable journey through the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert, ensuring all your needs are met throughout your walking holiday. After breakfast, your driver will transport you into the heart of the Atlas Mountains, where you’ll stay at a highly rated guest house featuring stylish and authentic accommodations. In the afternoon, meet your guide and embark on a scenic hike through this breathtaking region.
Day 2: Imlil
After breakfast, you will meet your guide and set out for a full day of hiking in the scenic Toubkal National Park, with a picnic lunch planned along the way. Your trek will lead you to the summit of Outousse, standing at 2,200 meters, followed by a one-hour descent to the village of Armed, where your guide will show you around. From there, a brief 15-minute walk brings you to a breathtaking waterfall, the perfect spot to enjoy your picnic lunch. The return journey to Imlil takes approximately 1.5 hours.
Day 3: Imlil – Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou
Today’s 4×4 adventure takes you along the historic caravan route, descending from the Atlas Mountains to the UNESCO-listed Berber village of Ait Ben Haddou. You’ll stay in a charming hotel nestled within the walls of an ancient Kasbah. Before enjoying dinner on the terrace beneath the starry sky, you’ll have time to explore the town and immerse yourself in its rich history and culture.
Day 4: Ait Ben Haddou – Erg Chigaga
Your 4×4 vehicle will transport you deep into the dunes of Erg Chigaga, located in the heart of the Sahara Desert, with a break along the way to enjoy lunch. This incredible journey takes you through vibrant valleys, arid desert landscapes, and the iconic palm groves of the Draa Valley. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your camels for a trek to our desert camp, where a warm and authentic Berber welcome awaits you.
Day 5: Walking through the Sahara
Today, you’ll enjoy a full day of trekking across the Sahara alongside our skilled team. Along the way, you’ll pause for lunch beneath the cool shade of a Tamarisk tree before heading back to your Desert Camp.
Day 6: Erg Chigaga – Marrakech
After breakfast, your 4×4 driver will take you on a scenic journey back to Marrakech, following an alternate route that offers new and picturesque views as you leave the desert behind.
